Putting a Marine Corp logo/crest on a white g10 handle?

I’ve been commissioned to make a knife for a very good friend and customer. He’s want a couple things done on the knife that I’ve never done before and was going to see if anyone here had experience in doing them. He’s wanting the Marine Corp. logo/crest on the handle and “USMC” on the blade. I’m thinking the USMC will be smaller, like 3/4” long by maybe 1/2” tall.

The handle will be white g10. I had an idea about doing the logo on the handle, but am not sure if it would work. My idea was to try and find someone who could laser engrave the logo on the handle and then maybe mixing up some epoxy with some black dye in it. Then rubbing the epoxy into the engraved area and either wipe off the excess or maybe sand over it until the logo is crisp. Then maybe put a super glue finish over that to lock it in or maybe some sort of clear coat.

It would kind of be nice if I could just find someone who could just do the logo and make it visible after I finish the knife. That way I wouldn’t have to do anything and be experimenting for the first time on this guy’s finished blade.

Any ideas?

I’m pretty sure he just wants the center of the logo with just the eagle, anchor, and globe, not the ring around it with the words. For those who aren’t familiar with the Marine Corp logo, this is it:

Yes laser-engraved... Where do you live? I ask because there's someone in Houston that's really good at that. He mainly does stuff for the jewelry industry but he can laser anything.

Just make sure they can spell! Recently had a customer buy a knife and sheath and they took it for laser engraving to present to a friend that was retiring from the Navy. Knife came out good but it said Untied States Navy on the sheath. Built a new one for em so they could try again.

Maybe if that logo is laser engraved on piece of round stainless steel and then embed in G10 ? Something like this ?

The only issue with that is that the area it would require is a considerable amount larger. It would be nice to have the logo around 1.5” wide in the cent of the handle where the palm swell is and 2”-2.5” vertically lengthwise.

Cool. Does he have a website by chance? I’m in Topeka, KS btw

Oh man, that’s terrible. Not sure if I’d trust them to do another sheath. Lol

finish handle mostly then drill a hole and put an EGA from say dress blues in and seal with clear casting epoxy. if i ever make any more ka bars i think thats how i will do it

Won't help ya any with your handle but I did a simplified version of the Anchor and Globe on these chinks (short chaps) for this guy. Anchor and Globe on the right side and his brand on the left. Look close at the conchos too:
