Howdy, I want to put some scales on my BK14, but I need to cover up some exposed steel on my handles before doing so. Can someone share their expertise on what paint to get to do this, and how to treat it so it lasts? I read that I need to bake it in the oven to help the paint cure. Will this damage the edge of my blade? I have no idea what I'm doing, so the more details, the better. Pictures would help too.

Thanks a lot!

Stay sharp.

It can be painted, but it wont last long. I would suggest ya contact K-9 Handler, he offers DuraCoat services. It's slightly tougher then the factory coating, and comes in a lot of colors.
