Hi guys, just joined and first post on here. I have several BK&T blanks from the old Camillus factory in various stages of completion that I acquired when they stopped making them. One is a patrol machette that has a finish but no edge at all, completely square at the edge. Looking for a good recomendation on what knife sharpening service might be able to handle a job like this without screwing up the steel. I also have a few bk2's that just need to be finished as well but are not as raw.

Be aware that a couple of the blanks I've done have not actually been fully hardened. I had to send them out for professional heat treat.

No, I did the grind myself. I use Peters for all my blade heat treating needs. Great company. Any of the makers on the forum should be able to handle a job like this. Richard J comes to mind as well.

I assume the blanks are already heat treated. If so, whoever grinds for you will have to be especially careful to not heat them up too much. Make sure the grinder you choose knows whether HT is already done. If they have not been heat treated, then it's no big deal.

I am assuming they have not been. They are stamped out blanks with the basic profile and the Camillus logo

Ah, yeah, that will take a bit of extra work. My guess based on the last one of those that I did was that it will require annealing and heat treat service. Of course, that's a sample size of 1, so you can take that with a grain of salt. It had some surface hardness, possibly from the stamping process, but wasn't actually heat treated.
