I got a BK14 this week, and while I've had other Beckers before (including another 14), I was still excited to give my newly stripped Eskabar a workout. I decided to put it through your typical camping tasks: splitting thin kindling, creating wood shavings for tinder, and food prep.

Did it do well in the kindling test? You bet it did:

How about wood shavings? Absolutely, it dug into the wood quite well (in fact, maybe a little too well, I may need some practice!):

And after all that, did it have enough of an edge left to make clean cuts in food prep? Of course it did:

I can't wait to really give it a workout, but all in all it's doing great so far!

Congrats on the 14. It's a great little blade. Thinking about getting a few more. The wife wants one, and one to beat the living shit out of.

I been carrying my BK24 alot lately, even at work, which is death on a stick for a knife.

Love this little, tough as nails knife.
