Hi
Can i put a new crk color lanyard in a small sebenza by opening it in the presentation side sandwich style and closing it the same way once the change is made?
I'm left handed with thick fingers and want to keep it simple as possible
Thanks

You're gonna find that you will have to take the knife apart to install a lanyard. It won't open up on one end to slip it in. But, all is good, just take it slow and it will go back perfectly.
That's why I love the CRK's, they give you the allen wrench to take down the knife :)

I would NOT reassemble it "sandwich style" (if that is what you are asking?). I remember trying that once and for some reason, there were issues, i can't remember exactly what happened as it was a long time ago. It is very easy to do the CRK recommended way.

I dissasembled the sebenzas and changed the lsnyards. The first one took me an hour, the second one 10 minutes
Im glad i learned to do it
The pics did not came out but ill try it again

That's part of what makes the CRK's so great, you can do your own tinkering and it doesn't void the warranty. It takes ownership to a different level. Glad to hear you had success, the first time I took one apart, I dropped a screw and it took me forever to find it.

Agreed and Agreed!

The first one was the red lanyard, it took an hour. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The blue one took 10 min.

Thanks, sometime I'll try to post pictures of the others. I have a few lefties but learned to feel comfortable opening the small sebenza right handed. More choices.

Same here, it was a while before I got my first LH CRK, since I use both hands to open with, I prefer double lugs.

I have installed a number of new lanyards on my CRs using paracord. The lanyards that come new with the knives are NOT paracord but some sort of nylon cord. Does anyone out there know a good source for buying this type of nylon cord? I am not all that fond of the results when using paracord.

Thanks.

I like the new lanyards, love the blue one.
Nice knives!
@polebridge: you may want to look for "425 Paracord Type II", hope this helps.

Nice lanyards! The Sebenza is really easy to take off once done the right way (as per CRK instruction). Probably the easiest knife to take the blade off for cleaning and put back on!

I would love to see someone put a 550 paracord into the lanyard pin, or share a more foolproof way of doing it. I found it wasn't easy to do at all.
