Putting Regular V-Edge on an Emerson

I'd like to have a normal V edge put on my Emerson Mini Commander instead of the v grind with the chisel edge bevel. I don't trust myself to do it even if I had the proper gear (which I don't). Any recommendations on how to go about getting this done or who to contact?

Richard J if he is in good health, Tom krein if he is still doing regrinds, I would suggest Richard J though he has done this many many times and his turn around time, Price and customer service is top notch.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Richard J myself, but I've put off contacting him as I heard he was having some issues with his hands or something like that.

Shoot Richard an email , I would call him for you , but I haven't spoken to him in a month or so so I dunno if he's up to it or not. If he's available Richards your man...

I read somewhere Tom Krein is no longer doing re-grinds. It was within the last month that I read that.

I was just talking to Richard yesterday about v grinds on Emersons. I think he has done more than a few of them.

send it to me. i heard doing so can void the warranty but i do a lot of them anyways. you already have my shipping info.

+1 on this. He did mine for me a couple of years ago and it came out perfect. Looks like it came from Ernie that way...

Got to dig through my emails to find it again. I'll drop you an email Monday so we can handle all the specifics.

Maybe you could snap some before and after pics?

Be interesting to see the transformation.

Thanks.

i'll send you another email just in case.

cbwx34, there is not much to see in before and after shots. when i'm done the knife looks like a normal v edge but i'll take some before and after shots. i'm suprised ernest has not offered a normal v edge option in his knives.
