Putting screws thru backwards?

I've been thinking about putting bolsters on my folders with the screws coming in from the liner side. The reason I haven't is it looks like there would be a part of the thread that would create a small void since it would always be spiraling back into the hole. I know I could try blind holes but since I'm going to take Kit's advice and start doming my dolsters I'd be afraid I'd sand into the hole.
Anyone done bolsters this way and with a screw with 56 threads per inch, do I need to worry about a void like I'm talking about?
Thanks for any info you can share with me!

I do this occasionally, espically if i'm using a damascus bolster and I don't want to ruin the pattern. Sometimes you can hide the screw in the pattern. If you use a 2-56 or a 1-72 you do not have to worry about the threads. They polish up nice and look like pins. You can also do a blind hole, just go half of the thickness of the bolster material.
