Putting small 21 to work

First post on the forum, so I figured I’d start off on the right foot talking about my small Sebenza I’ve had for a couple of months. I was visiting my sister-in-law and noticed she had a ton of boxes still at her house from when she and her husband moved in last year. He was out of town, or I would have got on him about them still being there. Anyway, there were A LOT of boxes. Mostly large furniture boxes with the thick box staples and many other thick boxes that previously held furnishings. I decided to break them all down, probably 50 or so large boxes in all. I almost called it off when I realized I was carrying my small 21 instead of my XM-18 or M390 Grip, thinking the small 21 wasn’t enough knife for the job.

I went ahead with the project anyway, and about 45 minutes of furious box-breaking-down later (including 2 knife drops), all the boxes were broken down and organized neatly. I was incredibly surprised at how well the small 21 performed, especially given the thickness of many of the boxes. The knife maintained its edge throughout the exercise, and not once do I remember my hand being uncomfortable or wishing I had a bigger knife. Though I’ve only had the knife for a couple of months, I have put it through it’s rigors, and I absolutely feel comfortable carrying the small 21 in full confidence it is up to any task I might come across (within reason). Hopefully I will remember to post pics tomorrow, but I just wanted to give some insight regarding this very robust knife that punches above its weight class.

i opened about 50 boxes of IFB's (insulating fire brick) this summer with my 2001 regular sebenza... no issues whatsoever with the blade retaining a good cutting edge... You can never go wrong with a sebenza 21....

for EDC a small seb 21 is definitely the way to go
