Was thinking about getting this set - Does anyone have one or know about their quality? Opinions? Is it worth the $89

The large size is over 9 1/2" overall. It has a blade about 5" (13cm) long, .88" wide, and .119" thick. The sheath and knife weigh just over 6 ounces. This one might be better for those with larger hands, and would make a good hunting knife.

The smallest is about 7 1/4" long. The blade is about 3 3/8" (8cm) long, .67" wide and .119" thick. The knife and sheath weigh less than 3 ounces. It is almost unnoticeable on the belt, and would work nicely as a neck knife.

here's a combination set with the 5" and the 3 1/4" puukkos in one sheath. This gives you a large knife for heavy work, and a small knife for fine work. In carbon steel only, $89.

I have a similar Iisakki Järvenpää combination set. Mine are carbon steel with unpolished flats. The leuku has a 7" blade, 12" overall. The puukko has a 3.75" blade, 8" overall.

I keep them hanging over my kitchen counter and use them in food prep. Since they are carbon steel, I use food grade mineral oil to keep them from rusting. Also, they have developed a bit of a patina on the polished secondary bevels.

Great knives, strong and sharp. Between the two, they can handle any slicing & dicing or carving I need to do, and they are fun to use.

If you took them in the woods, the set would make a great camp knife and utility knife. Well worth the money.
