I'm going to try and start posting back to WSS again. Here is a quicky four day canoe trip with my wife and another couple to Puzzle Lake Provincial Park. Puzzle Lake is a non-facilities park meaning it is basically treated as Crown land. There are a few established campsites. The system is a 5 lake linear chain with small portages in between them. The longest port is between Norway and Bear Lake which is still an easy 450 m (or yards). Very easy trip, but we had fun and the wife of the other couple wasn't really used to tripping so it was good that this trip was a simple one.
We were greeted by a Northern Watersnake at the first portage

Entering Loyst Lake

Waking up to this is why we go through the trouble!

Norway Lake

Camping out at Bear Lake

Note to self...I have to take an picture at infinity in the daytime and mark the actual spot on my lens since I set it to the guide mark but stars didn't come out sharp. Still, pic added because it was a wonderful night.

We paddled through a pond, Big Sunfish Lake, behind our campsite and then bushwacked our way through the wetlands to another lake about 2 km away.

Grouse nest. Hen made my wife scream when she flew the coop!
