they have this pic under The New BM42 Balisong w/ "Classic weehawk blade".......................................now i seriously dont think that that is a weehawk, thats a utility blade, yet again, another company screwed up the pic on the description of a bali

We've talked about this before, and as I recall, we all agreed it's just a lighting illusion. It's really a weehawk.

Um, that blade doesn't seem to look anything like the blade on my 42. Maybe they have the wrong photo? Also, if the photo was taken in bad light, all the playing with the brightness/contrast in the world won't reveal the correct image. Still, that looks more like it is just the wrong photo (the shape of the blade profile is not the same).

I'm fairly sure that the pic is of a Ultility blade. Digital technology does have it's faults.

That pic was probably put together from archives when the above mentioned company decided to market this product.

I don't think it's even real, look at the torx pins, the latch pin is the same size as the pivot pins...it's not that way on any of the 42's I've ever seen. Plus look at the kick, it is a lot flatter than the one on (at least mine) the 42. Lastly, BM hasn't put out a utility and that pic is several months old, I don't think BM has any prototypes of any blades other than the wee-hawk. My 2 cents

I posted this a while ago, and was given the same "lighting problem" responce. After looking at it, I've come to the conclusion they took an old pic of a utility blade, and put in dots were the pins would have holes for torx bits, converting an old pic to a "42". If you remember, this pic was posted before the 42 pics from BM were widely available. I think they just manufactured a 42 to start pre-selling them before they had a pic available. E

My first thought when I saw that pic was... "The blade looks computer-made"... but...

Now... the whole knife look computer-made...

Risking to only repeat what has already been said: It is not a BM-42.

The black dots can have found their way there in two ways. Either someone painted them directly on the knife, or (a tad more likely) they've been added digitally on top of an old picture they had of another BM model.

As for the blade, David Copperfield couldn't make light reflect off a weehawk like that! Just look at the base of the blade, at the kick, where the cutting egde starts. Follow the line that crosses to the other side of the blade. It goes all the way across. Now, take your BM-42 and look at it from all angles. No matter how you turn it. that line only stretches a bit more than half the way across the blade.

Take care!
