Look in local shop for glass ....they have it for the stoves .

15 min ago I was down at the local glass place and picked up two of them. I need it since I just realised my platen wasn't perfectly flat and was causing some funkiness in my grinds.

Was it already in the right format or do you need to process it until it fits properly?

If you can t find glass you can use ceramic tile ..............

I get mine from eBay. Just search "robax" and sort by lowest price first. The seller is named "hidden_treasures_of_LA" if I recall, and the standard length is 2x8, though they will do custom/other sizes if you send them a message first. I've ordered several from them, and they've all been cut square. They're only about 3/16" thick if I remember right, however. Is there a reason you need 1/4"?

I have a 1/2" thick platen backer that has a 1/4" deep by 8" long pocket cut out.
I don't have enough forward adjustment to use less than a 1/4" liner.
I could glue a liner on before the pyroceram but was hoping to avoid this.
