im looking to replace a crkt m16 that ive been carrying around for about 5 years and am considering picking up a needs work for this application. i carry in the front right pocket to the rear and the only criteria for my edc is that it be thin enough for me to fit my hands into the the pocket when the blade is carried. the m16 is thin enough for this, my carry piece before the m16 was a gerber carbon fiber liner lock that was almost as thin as an aluminum leek. i do have a leek that i can press into this role but i just have an itch for a needs work. will it meet my specifications?

I love the Needs Work (NW), but it's a bit thick in the pocket for me. I've got some fairly large mitts, and it's a chore getting in my pocket with the NW. Another thing is that I can feel it when I drive, which I don't like. I'm so used to using my Leek as my EDC; it's thin, and handy. Even my new Lg. Cyclone rides comfortable in my pocket; comfortable enough that I might make it my permanent EDC.

I'm not fully giving up on the NW however, It's in pieces waiting for me to decide what material to use for the new scales.

As Tim G. suggested, the Shallot looks like a viable option; it's on my short list for new acquisitions.

Good luck.
