I´ve been saving for a BT or a WB since the strider guys went from the hollow grind to the newer flat grind.
I saw over at TAD Gear that there was a new "heavy spine flat grind" on the MT-L and the BT. My question is if the new grind makes it harder to cut with because of a more acute angel on the cutting edge?
I now have a Gerber LMF that I have used during camping and military service (some 10 years ago). It had a couple of shortcomings, one of them being the grind that had a too big angle. It was great prying and chopping with but cutting of branches from trees (making hides and shelters) was nearly impossible. That is why I had to pack a smaller 4-5 inch blade also (too bad internet and Strider didn´t exist back then).
Does anyone know if the same thing applies to the new "heavy spine flat grind"?
Thanks for your help,
Colinz
