Hi CS and you all.

Recently i really want to buy one O1 version TM , and I hear that CS upgrated the tang design that removing the sharp corner on neck of the blade . is it true ?

Yes, the change was actually done even before the O1 Trail Master/Recon Scout production.

I wouldn't be concerned about the strength of the tang. Remember it is 5/16" thick. I literally spent about an hour not to long ago intentionally trying to break one and it laughed at me ;)

After the blade tang has been radiused there has been a great improvement in strength so baton away.

Until I see a picture or some kind documentation showing otherwise, i'm writing this off as a rumor. I don't believe they've changed it.

Seriously?!?! They changed it about 6 years ago as I've rehandled a few. Call Cold Steel, they will confirm it.

i searched google for some days , but i was failed on getting pics of tang on new TM.

I want to find someone who can rehandle one. The current grip is a tad small for my 2xl hands.

Do you still rehandle them? How about the San Mai Trail Masters-are they radiused?

That's definitely a Recon Scout and it has radiused corners. That, along with USPOPO's testimony, is good enough for me. I stand corrected.

It's actually easier to machine the blade/tang with radiused corners. The guard is another story. It would have to be broached.
