there's a big knife show in Chicago next week -got a few questions:
1.) is this the kind of show you can sell knives at? Can you wander around with a sign on your case listing what you have for sale? Lots of gun shows allow this - but will the Chi show be tolerant of this?
2.) I believe that the City of Chicago does have a blade limitation of nothing over 2.5"? Will this apply to this show. They are planning to move the show to Chicago ( City of) next year - so it would obviously apply then.
List of makers showing stuff is impressive - some of the real long term innovators are going to be there.

Hi,

Been to the CCKS 3 times. I did not see anywhere set up for individuals to sell any of their own. I suppose you could contact Ed for clarification. The actual meeting hall is kinda small and crowded at some times but a very good show.

The show is held at a private hotel (albiet open to public). With a $15.00 admission fee. Illinois UUW is sometimes tricky in Chicago, depends on intent, State's Attorney or City Prosecutor.

sorry to be lazy. i know nothing about this knife show. how can i find more information? when and where?

thank you

It's in Arlington Heights, not Chicago. It's one of the better shows if you like tactical folders, with table-holders like Darrel Ralph, RJ Martin, Rick Hinderer, Pat Crawford, & Bob Terzuola. It's not as good as Blade, but better than Blade West.

This is a upscale show for custom knives only. Tables are quite expensive. I doubt if you would be welcomed to walk around with signs advertising knives for sale. You could hang out in the hotel lobby in the evening to talk and swap knives.
