I'm moving to Arizona and I wanted to know if after the new Knife Preemption Law goes into effect this fall, will it be legal to carry a fixed blade concealed?

Wish I had an answer, this is the first I have heard of it. One word of caution, there is usually a lot of rumor, disinformation, and misunderstanding about these kinds of laws when they are passed (even sometimes among LE personnel). I would not rely on public opinion for an answer on this one. Your best bet is to contact an LE source, or even several.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Arizona's Knife Law Preemption bill was passed LAST Year and went into effect LAST Year. Carrying a fixed blade concealed is legal since passage of Constitutional Carry in AZ means you don't require a permit to carry any weapon concealed, HOWEVER, there are still concealed carry restrictions, such as bars , where a CCW is still required if you want to carry a weapon concealed, and all the legal limitations apply, and a private property owner can still restrict weapons on their property altogether, as long as it is posted per the law. Weapons, including knives, are still prohibited from schools.

Whether any particular cop understands the law is another issue altogether. <~>
