Hello to all.

I wonder how resistant to all kind of dirt and dust is Q/D Scarab. The design indicates this knife for heavier utility/tactical tasks...
So does complex and delicate mechanics inside this baby withstand continuous abuse such as prying(not heavy)?
Is Scarab more resistant than other OTFs?
Does more powerful spring in D/A OTF make harder to shoot and withdraw the blade?
Thanx..

I recently got a QD Scarab, and I love it! The only other OTF I have is a MT CT2. The Scarab seems to have much more substance to it. I have spent time on different Microtech forums and the general concensus is that the lock up on a single action OTF is stronger than on a DA OTF. That is if I understood all the comments correctly. All that aside, my Scarab seems more solid and tough than my CT2. I would not do even light prying with my OTF's. They just do not seem like they would withstand it. The Scarab does make a great EDC carry. The firing takes more force on the lever than does a single action OTF but it isn't that hard to do. All in all it is a great knife. I think that the dirt issue could be a problem, but I carry the Scarab in its sheath and lightly oil the action and do not worry about it too much.:D
