Sal, someone just posted on the General forum that he got a bunch of reground returns for $5 at the Spydrco store in Golden. I've been to Colorado and it's real nice, but a long way to go for some Spyderco deals. Is there any other way to have access to your "seconds"?

Hi RH, we have a 2nd/used knife sale once or twice a year. That's the only way to get the pieces. It is more of a service to the local community than a resource. The $5 FRN models are knives from years ago that had been returned with broken plastic clips. We check the locks. If they're ok, then we ground the clips off, sharpened them and made them available at the sale.

Gee Sal,

How about offering this community a chance at those? Perhaps through a lottery system where you issue a number to interested parties and whoever draws 1 has first pick to buy a knife (only 1 per customer) in an available pool of "seconds" then 2,3,...

I suppose you could auction them with part of the proceeds going to charity but that could start an ugly bidding war!

Sorry Full Tang. We do the entire sale in one & one half days. individual sales done through any method would increase labor significantly and make it impossible.

Sal, I see your point, and it is good for creating "goodwill" in the community.

I'll bet though, you could sell them all here in one or two HOURS, on a "grab-bag" basis - $5 (or $10 for that matter) per knife, no choice of model, blade, anything. Folks here would gobble 'em up.
