Does anyone know of a carbon steel blade knife in the 3-4" range similar to the Case Ridgeback drop point seen here ( http://www.newgraham.com/outdoor.htm ) in the $50 or less range? I need something with a pronounced choil like this one has, hopefully light weight. My aim is a utility knife to back up a larger fixed blade.

The closest carbon steel knife I've found is the TOPS Cougar Claw, which is much heavier, has less of a choil, and is grossly overpriced for what it is.

Any suggestions?

I second the Bark River Highland. Ive got two of them, and they are the sharpest blades I've ever owned, superbly designed and perfectly balanced.
