To the more experienced Spydie collectors---

Can anyone tell me what the approximate market price is for a Q or an S? I ask because every thread on BF that has sold them has the price taken out, and i know the Q retailed for about $40 but I don't know how things have gone since then .... I am interested in them but I would like to have *some* ballpark figure for what they generally go for so I can know how much cash I need to scrape up for one, or what I could trade for it.

Thanks!

Not sure about the "Q" (and it varies greatly by variation) but since the "S" is just now arriving at dealers for the first time, the market price should be the available at many retailers sites - $56.19 at a well-known Pharmacy. Did you mean "R" instead of "S"?

Expect to pay $60 or more for the most common version, a second generation (flat sided handles and a small cross pin to retain lock bar) serrated edge black FRN "bug" Q, if it is in NIB condition. Any other variant would sell for more, in some cases considerably more. As with most knives, if it is used, or without the box, the value would be lower.
