In light of the recent EKI bashing, I thought I would relate this experience.
Last week I posted about getting interested in Emerson knives again and that I traded for 5 production folders (Mach 1 BTS, Mach1 BT, Commander BT, Commander Satin, and CQC7A Satin.) Well all five of those knives have arrived at my door and I have had chance to inspect them all. Remember that I traded for these knives sight unseen. I did not get a chance to pick through anything. I only owned one other EKI, another Commander BT. All 5 of the knives were darn near flawless. The satin Commander's pivot screw was about 1/4 turn loose. NO OTHER PROBLEMS AT ALL! All knives lock up very tight but not too tight. One of the Mach 1's liner is in the center of the blade, the other liners are fully engaged in the first half of the blade. Fit and finish on all is great. That is 6 out of 6 EKI knives that I have got my hands on that have no problems. You would have a really hard time convincing me of a quality control problem at Emerson Knives Inc.
