I recently got a GDI mount for my TA44 ACOG, and even though it's larger than the Larue LT105 that was on it before, it sits lower than the Larue and I really like the clamp system better.

So now I have a spare LT105 mount and and only other QD mount I want/need at the moment is for a Vortex Sparc and there is the dilemma.

One way or another, I know I can get that LT105 to support the Sparc. Either by having my machinist make a riser and set it up for a picatinny or by using one of these (may or may not require fitting to work in the Larue channel)

Or, should I sell the Larue and get a dedicated Bobro mount for it?

It's a shame Bobro doesn't make a HK height mount like Larue but I don't have to have an absolute cowitness.

Thoughts? Anyone succeed in retrofitting an ACOG mount for something other than an ACOG (or RX line of reflex sights)? The hick side of me is telling me to find a way to use the Larue but that's the hick talking
