OK- This looks like a knife that I must own right now.
1) Availability- Who & When?
2) Price- the $169.00 is MSRP right? Who has "the deal"?
3) Does the reduced size affect the effectiveness of the wave?
Thanks-
Mike

Welcome

The Mini-C is great. I see the "TUSK" folder developing nicely.

The only time I can give you is "Soon". Quoting "X number of weeks" just pisses folks off if there's any delay. "Very soon".

My understanding is that it will be available through EKI or Dealers.

The quoted $169 is full MSRP. As per usual, "Street Price" from dealers may differ from the MSRP.

NOT AT ALL! As a matter of fact, it feels like the waved Seven. The blade rockets out. Near as I can figure, the reduced blade weight is responsible for how fast it deploys.

The only thing I saw that was going to take some getting used to would be the reverse Icepick left handed draw. The butt rides lower in the pocket then the full sized Commander and took a bit of concentration to grasp for the draw. It all a matter of getting used to it.

John- Many thanks for the info- Time to start bugging my favorite dealers...
If anybody hears of a good source, please let me know-
Also- this available w/ the green scales?
cheers-
Mike

It'll be available with either Black or Green scales, Black-T or "Satin", Serrated or Plain Edge.

I'm thinking I need an all black PE and a Green/"Satin" PE Mini-C.

Question for John. I emailed EKI with an order for a mini commander some months ago.
Will they contact me when it is ready to ship?

This will be my first Emerson blade. I hope it will be as good as the Usuals say all of EKI's knives are.

Thanks in advance for the info.

John,

Thanks for the quick response and reassurance. Usually like to hold any blade before I buy it.

Are there any pics of protos posted anywhere?

Have a great evening.

John,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Your info is always great to get.

I know I am more a lurker than a poster so hang in there with me if I ask for silly information sometimes.

Maybe next year I will make it to the Blade Show.
