I have to admit that I'm confused about which balis on the market now are good. Theres alot out there sudenly, so how about a definitive list, with approximate prices, of everything out or soon to be out.

Tachyon: $200
BM 42, 43, 47: $120?

after that I'm confused :)

oh, duh, fogot the one I have :)
Advanced tech tiger: $120
also in brass

Benchmade's Bali's seems to be a favorite and maybe even the most popular (?)

Popular is always for a good reason, you figure it out... :)

It wasn’t that long ago, you would have had 40 replies all saying Benchmade. With the many new additions to the Bali market, the choice would seem to be a little more difficult. It’s really quite simple, by Benchmade you won’t have any regrets.

Benchmade or SWAT will be your best buy. The Tachyon will be the best but you will have to justify the price difference. If you can pop over $100 stay with those three or a custom. Below $100 the market gets shady even with my Dragon Forge line at $25 but they are good starters.

I will have a new line of bali's soon (All Dragon Forge), perhaps by years end all of my design with classic flavors and a high tech touch and all under $50.

To me I guess it just feels good to have so many current choices..., lets hope more makers get the "itch"!

Yes, competition is great. This brings more styles, better prices, and improved quality. Just like Microtech comming out with a D/A OTF and the competition jumping in with their own models. Prices come down, quality becomes an important competitive factor, and more styles to choose from. :D :D :D
