Hey all,

Curious what you guys are spinning, im new to them and am just curious about em. See a lot of knock offs on eBay etc but where are the quality ones? Like torqbar competition? Who makes em and has them in stock and what are the thoughts, aside from dogging on them as I know a lot of people think they're silly but to each his own! :)

Thanks!

I bought a nice brass one that was 'handmade' on CNC machine is small batches and it was nice and well built but I ended up sending it back. The bearing had some play in it so that unless it was held perfectly horizontal or vertical you could feel it wasn't spinning as smooth. I know this is a function of the bearing but I'm curious if all of them are like this? It did spin for a couple minutes so it was probably on the loose side but it didn't feel right to me compared to when it was spinning smoothly.

If they are all like that then I probably won't get another one. I also don't know that I will use it enough to warrant an expensive one and will probably just get a cheap one with an upgraded bearing if I do get another. I was hoping there would be a way to kind of snap it to get it spinning but I couldn't figure anything out and had to use my other hand to give it a good spin. If there was a way to snap or flick it to get it spinning so it was a true one hand fidget toy that you could continuously flick with one hand while not paying attention to it I would like it much more. But having to use two hands and consciously spin it wasn't exactly what I was expecting and hoping for. I was hoping for something like a flipper knife or AXIS lock where you could flip it while doing something else just to keep hand busy but that wasn't what it was unless some are different.

ive got a rotoblade stubby in copper. when clean it spins for about 6mins. but some have got it to spin up to 10mins on youtube vids.
it is pretty high quality

torqbar is a nice looking one but doesnt spin very long at all.

premiumspinners has a plastic one that spins for a long time and doesnt cost nearly as much. good reviews sofar. ive been thinking about getting this one.

Nick Shabazz has a handful of spinners he is going to be doing a review on soon. unsure when it will be filmed or air.
