I didn't see a thread specific to this topic, so I created this one. I'm always interested in learning about quality budget folders that are in the $25 and less range. I'm fairly new to knives, but what I have experience with are the following. I'd classify them in the category. I'm interested in hearing about other that fall into this group.

- Kabar Dozier Hunter.
- Kabar Mini-Dozier.
- Kershaw OD-2 Flipper.

How about the Kershaw Chill? You can find those for $20 and under. Or even the Ontario Utilitac 2. I got mine for $26. Only one dollar more than your limit.

Almost an oxymoron though haha.

Ontario is decent, I wouldn't say it's quality or terrible.

The entire Spyderco Byrd range.

Except for one really weird expensive one that they quickly discontinued, I forget the name but it was totally unsuited to a budget range.

I have both a kershaw tremor and compound
Both are great

I've owned Chinese Kershaws, Spydercos, CRKT's, and some others and my Taiwan made Ontario makes them all look unimpressive. I like my Utilitac but alot of people like the more traditional RAT line. Contrary to what the guy above said, I will say it is definitely a quality knife for the money, but my most expensive knife is only $600 so I'm not sure what he's comparing it to.

Utilitac II, comes in a wide array of options all for around 24-26 dollars, your sure to find a style you like.

Several of Kershaw's imported models. To name a few: Chill, Volt II, OSO Sweet, Volt SS, Zing SS, Half Ton, One Ton, DWO

Several of the Victorinox SAKs. To name a few: Classic, Rambler, Tinker/Spartan, Super Tinker/Climber, Cadet

Buck Vantage Select, or some of their traditional patterns (302, 371, and others)

Just about any Opinel knife, available in stainless or carbon steels

You must be blind then...

JK, the search tool here is mediocre at best. Check these threads out:

No need to be insulting about it, but thanks for the response. My search would not have resulted in those threads, since by search criteria was "budget" in the subject only. I appreciate the links.

Watch eBay and you can score a SAK deluxe SwissChamp with all the toys for $25. That would be my #1 folder choice.
You can also find any number of vintage multi-blade old school folders (congress, stockman, cattleman etc) for well under $25 on eBay, as well as the other SAK models already suggested.

"JK" means just kidding. More a comment on the ubiquity of threads like this than you personally.

Most budget Kershaw knives and Spyderco's byrd series along with many of Ontario budget knives. You can also find some bucks in that range that are U.S. made and decent quality.

Kershaw's budget line(Oso Sweet, Clash, Compoud, Tremor, Half Ton, etc), Spyderco's Byrd line, Ontario's Rat series and Utilitac series, Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite

Someone gave me a Lowe's gift card so I looked for the kives. I bought the SOG SOGZilla. It is impressive.
