I know we can’t post links to sale sites and things of that nature. Im asking for possibly brands that I can do further research on. I do both medium and small scale wood carvings as a hobby and not happy with the cheap ones I bought

When I think chisels and "quality",, I think Lie-Nielsen, but I'm not sure these would suit your wood-carving needs. I have their bench chisels and mortise chisels, and they are superb, but fairly expensive. Are you doing small items or large scale carvings? Are you looking for chisels that are used with mallets, or perhaps "palm-type" chisels and gouges? I also have some smaller octagonal-handle chisels for detail work in cabinetry, and those are by Two-Cherries, and Pfeil. They're pricey, but good tools are worth their weight in gold. Are you working with hardwood?/ soft wood?
