I have an rc3 that I great. I also own the ontario rtak and rtak 2. I oown a dt rat 7 also and was thinking of getting one in 1095. it crossed my mind to get an rc6 but it is more money. it seems to me my ontario blades seem as nice as my rat cutlery rc3. don't get me wrong, I am buying izula and juglas for sure and I am thinking about and rc5 seriously. I love the quality of my rat cutlery rc3 but I think the rat 7 might be a better deal than the rc6. do most of you agree that both rat lines are great quality?

I find the heat treat to be a bit better on the RAT cutlery blades as well as the coating to be more durable.

the quality i think and finish are a little better then on the RAT line. the heat treat too. also the CS and the contact of RC makes it a win as well as a warrenty.

Fit and finish is MUCH better on RC knives. I've bought two now and am really, really happy. Ontario, on the other hand has failed me both times I bought their products. Their QC is seriously lacking. I will NOT recommend them anymore.

I only have 2 Ontario knives and they seem OK. I have a fixed blade cheapie that is reasonable for what I paid - but I wouldn't be happy if I had paid twice as much, it very much is a cheap knife in price & in quality. I also have a RAT-1 and that one wouldn't be too bad at twice the price - definitely better than you might expect for the price.

Comparing a RAT 7 to and RC-6 from what I have read the RAT 7 is good, but the sheath isn't. I can't see that big a price difference between the two of them - personally I would get the RC-6. I'm seeing less than $20 price difference on the sites I usually go to.
