Quality Double edged subhilt clip-points for 200 or less?

You'll be hard pressed to find quality in a sub-hilt fighter for $200 or less.
Best to talk to some custom makers here and see what they can do for you in basic materials. That will keep the price down.
Good luck!

Cold Steel's Black Bear Classic is well thought of, sometimes you can luck into them in mint condition for that much or a little more. The Boker Kessler can sometimes be found in the $200 - 300 range.

Smith and Wesson made a model in the $50 - 60 range that was well though of, it's was called the SWLBH that looked like -

.

They've jumped up, but maybe you could find one.

Cold Steel also offered/offers the Marauder and OSI as utility subhilts.

Black Jack offered a Randall #1 style subhilt in the 90's that sells for $200 - 300 in mint condition now, but I didn't like the feel, the tigger hilt faces the wrong way.

As mentioned, Subhilts don't lend themselves to being made well and cheap.

Yeah, I really would be good with 1095 or o1. Fairly new to actually being on here as I lurked for most my time on this forum. Is there a standard way of getting that started?

I actually like the black bear. It and some loveless designs made me want to give them a go in the first place. I've seen some carbon v OSS by cold steel but the ODA i got seems kinda thin so I'm wary.

That's surprising about the blackjack too. Kinda dissapointing. Do you know if bark river has any?

Bark River does/did these styles -

I haven't seen a Loveless or Randall style subhilt from them.

Also you might want to check out a maker named Steve Voorhis, he's made a lot of subhilts over the years, and sometimes they show up at prices not a whole lot more than factory models, he uses 5160 a lot.

Yeah, I like his too, but I have only seen the pretty expensive stuff. Carbon steel is ideal though so he might take my money in the end. A lot of them are nice looking in 440c, but I'd still choose 5160 or many other carbon steels firstfirst. danbot danbot makes an intriguing proposal for some guys on here though, so I'm glad I came here first. Getting a custom would be kinda nice
