Hey guys. I fish quite a bit and love these digital sportmen's watches that display when fishing is good. Well, the last one that I got, that I have now, is well, it kinda sucks. The screen is plastic and scratches easy and the leather strap holder gives me a sweaty leather smelling wrist. I was wondering if anyone here has any recommendation for a very nice quality "sportmen's", or really a "fisherman's" watch? Thanks

I don't wear a watch but i carry a Dakota Angler II on a belt loop - large analog dial, compass, hook sharpener, line clip, temperature gauge plus many digital functions - and water resistant to 1000'. It even has a little red flashlight in it.

Tell you what bro... I don't know much about digital watches, but I'll keep an eye on the bay. In Feb, I'll buy you a Seiko 200m auto diver, if this is your style. Once you get a self winding diver, you won't go back. I wore this same watch in Iraq.

Like I said... I don't have much use for digis. I don't think I'm qualified enough to answer your OP... sorry.

hey, thats cool- its just if you like to fish, then knowing when the time is right for fishing is just as easy as looking at your watch, is pretty badass to me- thats all

I remember back 10 years ago or so, Cabela's had a Timex angler with a thermometer and fishing times.
