I was given a collection of about 6 or 7 katanas they all seem to be made the same very standard just different colors and designs in the (excuse my katana vocabulary ) scabbard. Except for a set of three each getting progressively smaller the blades appear to be damascus and the scabbards are cream colored and let in light if u look into it. Give me your opinions!

pictures? any markings on the blades? What is the geometry of the blades (right off the bat, if they're hollow ground they're crap)? Are the hamons real or cosmetic? How thick are the blades (many wall-hangers are made from 1/8"-3/16" stock)?
Without any better information to go on, I'm going to tentatively assume they're crap (since most are, and these were free). Give us some more information and people here can tell you for certain whether they're crap or not.

p.s. I'm trying to be as nice as I can here, but please look at your post again and ask yourself whether there's enough information there for anyone to answer your question.
For perspective: I was given a set of 6 or 7 different cars. They all look like cars. They're different colors. Are they worth anything?

Here are some pictures. I don't have the set of damascus katanas they are in storage. Well they were free because my fathers friend passed away and this was his collection that his wife chose to give to me.

Oh I could see it I never realized you need a login. sorry

If someone gave away what sounds like trash, they probably are only one step above that.

And then that ^^^ im assuming you can read and you just didn't. This was from my fathers friend who passed away that's why it was given to me. So next time pay a little closer attention and show some respect.

It's hard to see in the pictures but the hamons do not look real. Are there any markings on the blades? Can you take the swords apart? Markings on the tang would be very useful for identification. In what capacity did the original owner have them?

Those look familiar... I've got a few like that. They're not awful, but not great either. I think those run for like 60-100 on eBay these days. I forget which Chinese manufacturer that is, but the fake looking hamon and cheap cord suggest that they're not the best swords ever.

I am assuming you can also read, as you were able to post pictures after a suggestion about photo sharing. However, you may want to note that I was regarding your description and in no way regarding respect at all but how the swords were described by you.
