Quality Magnifying Glass for Reading

Mom has "wet" macular degeneration, so it's getting harder for her to read. So, I thought I'd get her a good magnifying glass to help her with smaller print.

I see cheap plastic magnifying glasses all over. I was hoping someone here would know a source for something that's higher quality -- any thoughts?

If she is looking for something hands free, I know that my Mother in Law who needlepoints all the time has something called a "magnifying lamp" that leaves her hands free and clamps onto the edge of a table or something.
