Just wondering what you guys use to protect your knives from rust? The Benchmade manual mentioned metal sealers, any idea what is the best one to use for quality knives?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/
What knife are you talking about specifically?

A picture is worth a thousand words. I have been using Fluid Film on my CPM-M4 Gayle Bradley and there is not a hint of rust or discoloration. The stuff is food safe too.
I'm sold. Where to buy?

Well, in the States, you can always get it here. For the 'Canajan eh', good old Canadian Tire.
For application on blades, I just spray a bit on a cloth and rub it on the blade. When I am satisfied that it is well coated, I use a second cloth to wipe all but the thinnest layer off so dust is not attracted. I figure that if it is good enough to be used by the USN and NASA, it is good enough for me.
Edit - DM, you can and should cover the edge so it will stay sharp. A carbon steel blade can actually become dull just sitting, due to edge corrosion.
I use Tuf-Glide and Tuf-Cloth from Sentry Solutions.
