Read a article about the "Coast Tactical Raptor" in G&W for LE. Any know anything about this knife (10" 440c SS, kraton handale, ect.). Came across one for $25, thought about picking one up for utility purposes??

Personally, I wouldn't trust it. Even if it is 440, and real Kraton (which are both doubtful), $25 for a big knife (heck, even a small knife) is just too cheap. If you want it for a beater or a gift, then get it, but otherwise save your money and get at least a CRKT.

My ten cents (my two cents is free!)

Yea, i hear ya. I'm waiting on my BK7 to come in, just surfing the web and checked out thier web site (coastcutlery.com). Just thought i would run it by for some opinions... Also, it just so happens that i picked up a CRKT-Crawford Companion, last week. Sweet knife!

Don´t fall into that trap of equating price with quality.
Sometimes you do get what you pay for, and sometimes you just pay more for nothing but a name.
A BMW will out-perform a Kia, but Levis will not out-perform Arizona jeans.

The only way you´ll know for sure is to actually handle the knife yourself.
Bring along a Spyderco or Benchmade or CRKT and compare.
Then decide for yourself.

And then let us know what you think of the knife!

Good luck,
Allen.
