Hey guys. How are the Bear MGC slippies? I've seen them for sale around these parts, and not too expensive either, and I was wondering about their quality? Almost got one the other day but wasn't sure if it was worth it. Any reviews?

I recently bought a Bear Stockman just to try them out, it's a 247, and it's a virtual clone of a Case 47 pattern.

After standing in the store for an hour going through 9 before I found one that didn't have loose blades, horrible flaws, badly uneven grinds or bad backsprings, I found one that was fine accept for a small buffer burn on one bolster.

For $27.00 it's a great knife, seems to hold it's edges OK and has strong backsprings, but after what I went through to find one that wasn't crap, I would never buy one accept over a counter where I could handle it first.
