Quality smaller survival knife

I'm looking into getting my fiance a nice little survival knife for christmas. I'm not looking to spend a bunch, 100 or preferably under. It doesn't need to be the most exotic steel, just good quality and affordable. So far I'm looking at the Esee Rat 4 (maybe I just want that one myself....), the Ontario Rat 3, or a Cold Steel SRK. She already has a pink Esee Izula, and a pretty nice folder collection. What might I be overlooking?
