Well its christmas time, and im looking around for a new knive. I have been looking online at stilletos and cant seem to find anything that seems truely genuine. It needs to be rather large, no small knives (big hands). I'm not sure where to look for quality stilletos, so hopefully you guys can help me out. Thanks all. :D

If you want a really serious modern Italian inspired stiletto, take a look at Wayne Clark's 11" swing guard models. These knives use a dual spring (leaf and coil) system for deploying the blade...fires *really* fast. Beautiful piece of work.

The Randall Made #2-8 is simply outstanding. Just fine for large hands. The MercWorx is nice and easier to get.

Thanks for the responces guys. I forgot that fact that I'm lookin for a folder, this will be my new pocket knife.

Those stilettos are amazing, but just a bit pricey. I would say around 150 is a good range for what I'm looking for. The protech brend is a good reprsentaion of my ideal knive, 5" blade, folder, and damn sexy, to bad its got that hefty price tag. So, what do you guys suggest? Thanks all :D

Cold Steel Ti-Lite VI is exactly what you want.

Unfortunately, the ribbed reverse-wave chews out the corner of your pocket after a few openings.

That means you'll need to carry a second knife for chores.

I second tyr_shadowblade on the Cold Steel for "inexpensive" folding stilettos, I own a couple and they are fine. If you use the "drag trigger" in the corner of your pocket when pulling them out they are fast. The blade steel type escapes my memory.

Yup Ive got a standard size CS zytel ti-lite. That handle is quite a good size compared to the Kissing crane / Laguiole type.
If youve got big mits go for one of the bigger ones.......

Its really sharp. Good strong lock.

Steel is VG1 for the titanium versions

and AUS8A for the Zytel ones.....

At least one place (PVK) has the ProTech Godfather Tactical for $180.

That is the lock release as it is a back lock. I perfer the 11" opne size over the 9" but SMKW now only sells the 9" size......For the price they are weel made Italian non auto knives.....

+1 on the Frank Beltrame. They have a nice snap and are very attractive for the price. Remember, a switchblade is by design a weapon used for puncture or thrusting, not everyday miscellaneous use. High quality steel is not needed, nor is a razor sharp edge. That said, the steel used on the Frank Beltrame models starting at about $50 does not seem bad-seems better than 420J2.

I have both sizes of the Cold Steel Zytel stilletos, they are solidly built, razor sharp and I absolutely love them.

With your large hands I would absolutely recommend the larger version. This is the one I carry edc in my jacket pocket. I've removed both the pocket clip and the thumb stud as they just get in the way of carrying and opening the knife. When closed the 7" handle makes me a great kubotan with both ends of the knife providing solid striking power while the serrated exposed guard is absolutely ripping! If you hold the knife at the end so it stays closed, the guard sticks out like a mini ax head and a quick snapping motion will do serious damage to the exposed skin and small bones of a hand. The zytel affords a powerful grip and a solid feel. There is nothing silky or slipping about it other than the feel of it's opening. It slides open like silk and locks up solid.

I have handled several types of foreign stilletos and I don't think that any of them approach the range of performance of the CS.
