I need to start with a little history because I am full aware of how most on the forum feel about QTRMSTR and trust me even the name is a bit gay. I believe the owner has lied and at least part of the knives are probably made in China. For awhile I have stayed away for these reasons alone but then I saw the Mr. Roper Finale that they did for Sig and being a knife dealer I went to one of my distributor and ordered one with the tanto blade (i thought it looked cool) just to see what sig saw in the knife. When I got it and opened the box I thought it was fun just because they included a decal and branded band aids with a warning that the tool is really sharp. Well it was sharp but my Para 3 came out of the box sharper so the idea was fun but overstated. The fit and finish on these are amazing. The Ti handle scales are machined on the inside for weight reduction. The ergos are perfect and no hot spots with smooth lines and just rough enough jimping to get really good control of the blade. The ball detent is really great and pulls the blade in with just the right tightness. The Blade stock was to thick but the grind was high enough to make it functional. The flipper is very intuitive and extremely smooth due to the pivot system. I also love the fact that they use two heavy screw assemblies on the pivot and the back of the knife making the knife a two screw affair. The only other screw on the knife holds the steel portion of the lock bar to the ti portion. 50% lockup and no unnecessary stick. The knife came oiled and it did not seem to hurt lockup at all. The pocket clip is ti and skeletonized and this was my only problem with the knife. I looked everywhere for a phone number to call only to find their customer service is email only. It was later in the day but I sent an email stating the pocket clip wasn't holding the knife in my pocket strong enough. I told them I liked the old solid SS clip they had on previous models. I also disasembled the knife to see it better and my Allen key I used was a bit worn and it buggered up one of the screws which was blue lock tighted in place. I got an email back they said no problem and two days later I got a new pocket clip, and old style pocket clip, and a new set of screws. This kinda blew me away. I used the opportunity to test the ti in the pocket clip so I stripped it and anodized it. It is indeed quality titanium and responded well to treatment. I didnt like the tanto blade (just a personal preference) so I sold it and got myself the clip point version and it came with perfect function and pocket clip. I know the company has lost respect with the knife community, at least with guys like us, but this really is a great knife. I am not a fan of the other designs but this one will ride in my pocket regularly. I would like to know if anyone has used one for an extended time and has a report on edge retention and overall wear? I would also like to know if anyone has had problems with the knives or the company's customer service? So far they have been great for me. Below is a pick of the knife and the specs. Thanks for reading and any input you may have. I am really just looking for people to share their own (personal) experience with the knives and the company.

Type: Framelock; Closed: 5"; Blade: 3.5" l S35VN Stainless l Standard Edge; Handle: Titanium; Other Info: Thumb Slot l Thumb Ridge l Extended Tang l Pocket Clip. Texas Tea finish modified drop point blade. Texas Tea finish handles. Ceramic ORB pivot system.

Wall of text with the first line containing a homophobic statement.

All to promote a company with which you are "full aware of how most on the forum feel about [them]..."

This will go well!

qartermaster are made in different factories where labor is much lower than the usa dollor, mostly in asia, but not exclusive. ive even heard mexico.

the steel has already been proven to be marked as a lie in some models. the s35vn was really no better than ganzo 440c. which if you dont know is really soft and not great for cardboard and doesnt cut anywhere near real s35vn levels.

also quartermaster have stolen designs such as the one in the OP.

its all about the profit and marketing to folks who are easy to pull the sheet over. people who stick there heads in the sand.

Brother, start by adding some paragraph breaks. We'll see how it goes from there. (Probably downhill but you never know?)

It's weird when you say, 'I like the way they do this pivot, and I like the way they do that lockup' when you're talking about the way it's designed, because the knife is a clone of someone else's design.

What it sounds like you're saying is, 'I like how perfectly and accurately the Chinese workers were able to copy the nice knife they were paid to clone from a good designer's model. They did an accurate job when they copied it and it functions well as a result.'

This is interesting. Thanks for the info. Did you test one or know someone that did? I havent spent a lot of time researching the company just what I have seen occasionally on forums. And yes it is always negative about the company but I see little on the knives.

Im sorry your so easily offended by a common term used by those who could care less about PC culture. The name of the company is not homophobic it is GAY. Like you. your acting gay by slamming me with your PC stick. I am not promoting the company I am impressed with the tool in my hand. See how gay all that sounds now.

I have seen shipping info people have found from china. But does anyone know if they get parts/hardware or even raw materials from there or is there proof the knives are actually made there? Im not saying your wrong just link me to the info.

Sorry you need breaks.

I just typed it out and posted.

I wanted you to be able to read my reply so

I gave you lots of breaks.

Guys like you are the reason

for the downhill turn.

Thanks for the input.

Regards.

For the record I don't like to purchase any knives not made here. I just dont. I do own a leatherman and they had to stop using Made In USA because the plier heads were cast in Mexico. It is good they got called out for it but I understand why they do it. I have also been to the factory and seen the workers putting them together and love the tool I have.

Break-

I dont want to give a criminal company business, so I am on an information hunt. I like the product through examination. But I am also wanting info on performance of the steel. I am also interested in proof of the company doing criminal acts, and yes I consider lying about where their products are made to be criminal because they are stealing. I am researching a product to see if it is something I want my customers to have. Sig seemed to like them and I like sig so I am seeing why they liked the product. Any info would be nice sans the PC and punctuation police.

The design looked better when it was done the first time if you ask me.

To the OP: the amount of effort you are putting in to come up with those stinging comebacks, put that same effort into getting along with people. That's just a suggestion.

its best that you sell this knife as they are criminals and that steel is soft 440c you got ripped off.

Find another adjective. PC or not, that one has connotations we don't want on the forum.

At WGR as well as everyone else. Tone it down and stop trying to sound like WGR's namesake. Just answer the questions about the knife or the company.

Dude all I did was post on a blade that I liked and was looking for info and I got slammed for it. So many snowflakes in one spot. What is so hard about sacking up and just answering questions or moving on to a post you like. Also I dont put "effort" in, I just say it.

Then I will put it in plain English. Tough guy posting is not appreciated. If someone challenges the content of a post, that is not reason to attack them or go all Rambo. Now am I being clear? That goes for all posters in this thread. Discuss the knife and the company. Not each other.
