Quebec City - Any Places of Interest to Knife Aficionados?

I will be in Quebec and surrounding areas for a few days on vacation and would like to visit any knife related (store, museum, shop. etc.) locations in the area.

Any recommendations?

It's been a while since I've been up there (lived in Montreal for many years), but I can't really think of anything like that.

They do have a history of trapping and logging. I remember hearing about a lumberjack camp/museum in Shawinigan, which is just a few miles north of Trois-Rivières. Never been there, but it's supposed to be nice. There are also "sugar shacks" (cabanes à sucres or érablières) all over the place. But that's more woodsy stuff rather than knife-related.

I also remember some stores selling goods made by some of the Indigenous people. I've seen some interesting, handmade knives for sale in some of them.

Awesome, you guessed right, woodsy stuff is also of interest. I will look for those érablières, since I'm driving up I may stop in Montral on my way back to the US for a few days. Any must see knife related places in Montreal?

I'm sure we have some Quebec members here. Any other recommendations?

Might as well ask here for 2017 since these things change often.

Do I really need to have my EDC knife clipped to the pocket i.e. "visible" for it to be legal while in Quebec. I was thinking of carrying a traditional looking Case brand knife, instead of my tacticool knives but those would be "concealed" at the bottom of my pocket.

Honestly canadian laws are abit funny. You can carry your case knife in pocket with no clip. No one will say you are concealing a weapon as a case knife will be very easy to claim it is for utility only.

The reason canadian laws are funny is because you only need to have the clip visible because there is a law against concealing weapons. However at the same time carrying a weapon for use as a weapon at all is illegal.

Thus it has kind of worked out that if you carry a knife over 3 inches they want to see it clipped.
