Or as timberwolf put it Witchfinger Whittler !! Anyhoo the ransome demand from the Revenue turned up today after only 17 days,so after paying the equivalent of $33.68 for VAT plus handling i got my hands on it.The first thing i do with any new knife is to"wash the factory"out of it, carefully dry and apply a couple of drops of lube from my Boker Oil-Pen and a wipe over with some REN wax and thats it. The main blade is slightly swaybacked so it puts the nail notch a bit close to the small and i do mean small pen blade but the spring is not very strong ,no bear trap this but as i am not good with fiddly little things it suits me,the main blade is a hair shorter than the main blade on the Peanut and came out of the box sharp but a few seconds on the leather strop bought it to shaving sharp,of the other two blades the aformentioned pen blade is tiny and the coping blade is not much bigger but if used for the intricate bits i can see them being useful, as you can probably tell i am not a whittler.
The overall fit and finish is good,no blade rub, the main blade opens with a satifying snap but closes easily both small blades open and close very easily, as i have said it suits me as there is very little chance of cutting myself on a hard close snapping little blade, the tangs do not stand to proud when the blades are closed making it easy on the pocket material, the stag is excellent both well matched and pleasing to both eye and hand.
So i guess the final question is does the extra i have had to pay out bringing it up to almost $134.00 worth it ? Well given that it is one of a very small production run not that i buy any knife as an investment but i shall keep it use it and eventually it will be passed down to my grand nephew,
so i have to say yes Just.
I have included some of my dodgy photos..

I like your frank comments and the stag looks unreal.
A good investment I'd say.

Thanks for the review. Or maybe I shouldn't say thanks, as I am saving pennies for the new forum knife, and you brought this beauty to my attention. :)

I like the shape of that main blade, kind of a clip/spear hybrid? Cool.

That's a nice looking Queen, OMR! If you like it, you did good!

Pretty much everything about it is unique, so I think you'd have to use one to know if you liked it. Beautiful toasty stag, too!

I've had my eye on those for awhile, just haven't pulled the trigger, the stag they used for them is stunning. Congrats:thumbup:

Somehow I was completely unaware of these. Looks great and a perfect size for me. Thanks for sharing.

The're not listed on Queen's website.
KSF has stock which begs the question for KSF....are they a Special Factory Order? :)

A nice one. Construction looks much like the S&M lockback hump whittler (without the lock ofcourse). IIRC the design of the LB whittler is after an old Remington LB whittler

I ordered one 8wks ago but I had to send it off for repair

Had some issues with the blades binding and being loose and hitting the spine of the main blade when closing, but it just showed up today. First off, it's now perfect. It took some time, but Elaine at Queen took great care of me. I'm very pleased now and to top it off she threw in a model #70 in linen micarta!
Can't believe that to be honest, but they surely have a customer for life now!

Edited post because between when I originally posted and now, the knife showed up

I am glad your problem was resolved, unfortunately for me i have been less than impressed with my #47, after carrying it for a day and a half it developed blade wobble, as it is a lengthy affair sending a knife back from the UK to the USA i fixed it my self ie a gentle pinch in a bench vice, this of course exposed the pivot pin not a huge problem as a quick buff on the polishing wheel smoothed it out it is still visible though again not a huge problem unless you a very fussy. Overall i have not been happy with the knife,so i have retired it to its box while wishing i had gone with my first choice a #09 Esquire in stag. But i hope you and other owners will be happy with what is a rather interesting little knife. I include what will probably be the last pictures of my "Witches Finger"...

There have been a few different companies that have tried to pull off this particular whittler pattern, either as a lockback or not, but each time there seems to be problems. Judging by the looks of it, I'd say that's one tough pattern to build successfully. Hats off to those who are, or have been, brave enough to try and tackle Remington's masterpiece!!!

Well mine shipped yesterday so I guess in a week to three weeks I'll have to add my impressions. Thanks for the thread, now I have a better idea of its size too, although nothing beats in hand dimentions/feel. I'm hopeful that mine is a great example of a unique pattern.
