the pics. below are of a Queen slim line trapper with custom handles, an ebay purchase of some weeks ago. handles have sections of giraffe bone, pearl, abalone, pink turquoise, ram's horn, ivory, and pearl. tang is QUEEN CUT CO in 1/2 circle over TITUSVILLE, PA and reverse: MADE IN USA in arch shape with a stirrup ? over the U and 1998 inside the arch. seller listed steel as ATS-34. he also said knife is 4 1/2 in. (4 1/16 actual) and 1997 (1998 actual).
i am aware of Queen using ATS-34 but only in the F & W series of Schatt & Morgan. did Queen have a custom division in Titusville ? does anyone know how many of these were made ? or own one ? any info on this knife will be much appreciated. thanks, roland

no repies yet and as forum is busy, thought i would bring this back to page 1 in the hope that someone will be able to tell me more about this knife. thanks roland

Maybe you could send an email to Queen. I don't know if they will answer but they do have a website. I really like that handle!

Hi Roland,

Do you have the original box and papers?. This will help.

I myself have several Queen LE knives in several patterns which are in very small runs. Some in D-2 others in ATS-34.

no box or papers; i will email Queen. thanks for the suggestion, i hadn't thought of that. i paid $67, which, if it is ATS-34 is good price, i think, as most knives with this steel i have seen are over $100. and the handles are very bright and "alive" esp. in sunlight, similar to jewellery, good snap, no blade play and it's very light in weight, so it would be barely noticeable if one were to carry it. roland
