I just found out Queen Cultery makes these beautiful fixed blades. Good Steel, very nice wood scales.

Someone said without the logo, they can sell this knife for $100. But because they want everyone to be able to afford one, so they splash a huge inscription on it and sells it for $60.

What do you think? :)

Its d2 right? Rub the blade down with a scotch brite pad and force a patina, logo is gone.

Don't much care for any logos on non coated blades

The logos come off easy. They are good blades..D2 HT done by Peters.

Excellent values.

Can it be done to satin?

Can you confirm the logo comes off easy? It's not edged or lasered deep into the surface? Would like affirmation on this. Would so seal the deal for me.

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand why can't they sell it for 60$ w/o logo, or even a small logo. Especially, if it is sellable for 100...

Does anyone know how thick the blades are?
I believe that the drop points are 3.5" and their saber style are a little longer.

I don't know anything about the logo and nor do I care, but I can say that its a he'll of a knife and a bargain at $60 bucks. I actually found mine at a local knife store here in OKC for $45. I have been using it for five years as my camping, and outdoor knife. I have used the hell out it. It's gutted a few pigs, carved some steaks and stakes, cut lots of rope, and split some kindling. I can't say enough good things about it. The pouch sheath does suck though. Its decent leather but not exactly well fitted to the knife. Surprisingly it is the only queen I own that I have not had to re-profile.

Who is Queen Cultery and why are they making D2 knives?

Huh?

Queen Cutlery has been making knives in Titusville Pa. for over 100 years. Why make knives in D2? Why not?

Maybe I'm not getting the point of your question. :)

I think the person who said what I wrote in the OP was being sarcastic.
Meaning it's such a nice knife, but the logo is a bit prominent, that he or some people would pay more for a clean version. It's irrational I know, but people have their own aesthetics when it comes to these sharp things.

My only issue with Queen knives are the edges. I stopped buying knives from them because they came blunt, not just needing a little sharpening but butter knife blunt.

These were rather pricey limited edition knives. I'm fine with doing some sharpening to get the ridiculously sharp mirror polished edges I like but these knives needed major grinding, not fun on multiple D2 blades.

Fit and finish was outstanding. But I need at least semi-decent edges on my knives. Since I can only get Queen knives on-line (no store stocks them around here), I stopped buying them.
