Hi Fellas,
What is your guys take on the Winterbottom Series of knives from Queen Cutlery? These have D2 blade steel which would be more rust resistant that the carbon steel of my Old Timers.
I carry a slipjoint in my left pocket at all times and the heat and humidity there is spotting my blades. I have applied Tuff Glide but when I use the knives and wipe them down I have notices very small spots forming on the blades. I need a knife that does not need to be constantly cleaned and oiled.
So I bought a Henckels Whittler with blue scales and stainless blades that I am currently trying out. However I would like some alternative to stainless, thus my inquiery.
Maybe I should not worry about the blades discoloring and spotting or better yet just hand blue them and be done with it.
