Hey that rythmes..
Anyway, I just bought a new Queen steel canoe in D2 with jigged black cherry scales.
Here's my opinions:
-Handle- The jigging is a little rough but the scales look pretty good overall. I like the bolsters (nickel silver, I presume) and they have already taken a nice pocket luster. The backspring is VERY stout and it almost takes effort to open the main/secondary blades. I like that in a slip joint
After you get the blade open, the knife has excellent "walk and talk".
-Blades- Both blades are made of the ever-so-tough D2. The knife was pretty dull OOB, but with about 40 min on a stone and another 10 with my 204, the blades are extremely sharp. I find that with some effort, D2 takes a very keen edge very similar to 1095, etc. Another thing to note is that after thinning the edge, the Sharpmaker works wonders.
-Overall- I feel that this knife will be getting ALOT of pocket time especially with pant season coming up. Although it is a stout, work knife, it carries pretty well.
