Just recently acquired a new Queen 9160 3 blade 3 1/2" Stockman. I can find no information to tell me if this knife's blades are D2 or 440A. Does anyone know or know who to contact to find out?

Thanks!
Scott

My Queen large stockman is stamped PH-D2 on the tang of the main blade, underneath the trademark.

Guess it's not D2 as there is no stamp other than "Queen Cut. Co. Titusville, PA". Guess I'll have to pick up a D2 model.

Thanks for the responses!

If the pattern # is 9160, then its a discontinued knife from the "chipped bark" series with jigged brown delrin handles. These were made with Queens "standard" blade steel, which is probably 440A.

Queen confirmed that it is one of the discontinued series. I've ordered two of the new D2 models and am eagerly awaiting their arrival.

Thanks for all of the responses!
