Well, I just had to have something new while I wait for my Case/Bose whittler. I came across this in a antique store and liked it enough to pick it up. I never had a stag handle knife before, the whittler I bought is stag, so I said why not! I have scoured the internet and can't find any info on it. I know it's not an antique, but I sure would like to know a little about this knife. Any help appriciated.

Robeson's are made by Queen who bought the company out in the 70's if I remember correctly. That is a fine pickup Kodiak and I have owned several modern day Robesons and have been extremely pleased by all of them. The term shuredge was a trademark of one of the earlier Robeson models.

Here is a link to more Robeson info:

Very nice! That stag looks great, and I'm a big fan of the Robeson name. The Queen-made Robesons that I've seen have all been top-notch.
...and I love the Canoe pattern, too.
Good find!

It is very nice. Does anybody know what the blades are made from (and don't just say "steel" :) )?

Depending on the age, the blades are most likely either 440A or 420HC. Some Robeson knives from 1998 and 1999 had ATS-34 main blades, but I believe they were stamped ATS-34.

Also, I hope I'm not putting a turd in the punchbowl here, but the handles look like "stagged" bone to me instead of actual stag horn.

Thank you guys for all your input. Is their any way to date it? Do you really think it's not stag? It's ok, I still like it!
