The Queen Show is this weekend, in Titusville, PA. While it is happening, Great Eastern is running daily open houses. It is a Knife time to visit this charming west PA town.:D
The Queen building was built over 100 years ago, and is a step back in time!
It, along with GEC's newer facilities, will give you a new appreciation of where these great knives come from.
Luckily, my brother lives nearby, and the flight is easy and cheap, so I'm going!
Hope to see some of you there!!

I'll be at GEC on the 28th, I'm meeting up with a couple good friends from FL.
It'll be a great time I know, it's my third visit to the factory.

Charlie that sounds like a really neat experience I wish I could go. Take some pics if you can for us traditional lovers who can't make it!

Well, I'd love to go, but unfortunately, it would be a bit of a drive for me. Even by air, I could probably count on spending a good deal of the day trying to get there.:(

I'm delivering in New Jersey on Thursday. It would sure be nice if I get to go to Pennsylvania for the weekend. It never seems to work that way but I will give it my best.

See you there Charlie! Travelling out Wednesday afternoon, should be in Titusville by dinner time....Hopefully.

bring back lot's of photos of sharp goodies ^^ and whikle at the GEC do suggest 3,1/2" or 3,3/8" barlow for their inventory...

I had a great time at the Rendezvous, I met some great people and enjoyed a or two, about knives.
I took the tour for the first time and that was really interesting, it was led by Bill Howard.
Then I was introduced to Ryan Daniels and I had a great time talking with him also, as we were talking he reached into his pocket and them asked "Do you have a quarter"? My heart started pounding.
He gave me his own pocket knife, the etch has been worn off, but he was preventing a real patina very well. It's just beautiful, and it has a very proud place in my collection.

Have fun. Be safe.

Bring back presents for us kids.

You're right, Johnny, Ryan D. is great. Talked with him for a good while at BLADE, and he helped me out with a customer service issue in a most gracious way that really hit home with me. GEC has a bright future with him in the wings.

Please tell Ryan that I have a pocket full of quarters for him! :p Nice knife, Johnny!
