I finally brought home all my collection, my dad's and my grandfather's knives. I know very little about Queen, so I thought someone could give me some info.

Blade says...Queen Steel #27
What type of steel is this? Carbon or stainless? Anyone have a clue?

I may be wrong, but I believe the #27 is the model number of the knife. I'm afraid I can't help with the steel question.

2 blade Barlow it is. Hummm, now if I could figure out how old. Anyone have any info on how to date this knife?

Can you post a picture of the stamp on the tang at the base of the main blade?

Or just describe it as close as possible.

Tang stamp has only
"PAT. NO."
"2728139"

blade has Queen Steel #27 etched on it.
It has a solid back with an opening at the front and back for the spring.

OK, In 1960, Queen stopped using tangstamps as a cost saving measure, and returned to using them around 1972, so that should put yours in that window.

BTW, is the main blade on this knife a Wharncliff or Sheepsfoot blade, with the second blade being a smaller Pen blade?

Yes, that is correct on the blades.

Is there any way to narrow the date down any farther?

I know nothing about Queen's. I own a couple from inheritance, but I haven't spent any time with them.
