Does any one know the spring configuration on the Queen Whittler 48ACSB? Do they have split-springs?

Thanks

Yes...the master clip blade rides on both springs.

I'm betting it does have a split backspring. Looks like, in the pic above, the main blade is much thicker than the two secondary blades, and occupies the full width of the space between the bolsters. That looks like a split-spring configuration to me. I don't have this knife, but I do have a V5383WH SS Case Whittler, which looks just the same (it does have the split backspring).

Edit:
Looks like the question's been definitively answered already. :)

Thanks for all the replies you guys are all top notch.
I just picked up a Cattle King Stockman to use at work (I'm an electrician) and fell in love with it at first touch. The fit and finish is second to none, comfortable in the hand, and the Amber Stag Bone is just drop dead. I'm considering something smaller like this 48ACSB Whittler for those episodic dress pant state of affairs.

I spent some time yesterday, using diamond hones (with a DMT Magna-Guide) to put new edges on my Queen Cattle King's blades. Their D2 can be a challenge to sharpen initially, but will take & hold an amazing edge. I agree with you, the knife feels great in the hand. And the ACSB scales are beautiful. With the newly sharpened blades, it feels 'complete' now, for regular carry & use. :)
